Optical design is a key area in the design and optimization of optical systems. Whether for cameras, optics, optronic devices or advanced photonic measurement instruments. At Imasolia, we use Ansys Zemax OpticStudio. This is our reference software for designing and optimizing our optical systems in photonics and non-destructive testing. Indeed, we also implement optical design and simulation with Zemax to guarantee the performance and precision of our products at every stage of development.
Why use Zemax?
Zemax is a powerful tool for :
- Accurately model a system's optical performance before manufacturing,
- Optimize components (lenses, mirrors, filters, etc.) to achieve the desired performance,
- Analyze and correct optical aberrations right from the design phase,
- Simulate light propagation to better understand physical interactions and improve the quality of images and measurements.
Optical design and simulation with Zemax at Imasolia
We integrate Zemax into our optronic system and non-destructive optical characterization projects, in particular for :
- The design of advanced imaging systems, adapted to the needs of industry, research and defense,
- Optimization of sensors for optical granulometry, to measure characteristics such as drop size and refractive index in real time,
- The development of optical metrology solutions, used for the fine analysis of materials and fluids.

From concept to reality
Using Zemax enables us to move rapidly from concept to working prototype, minimizing costly iterations. Thanks to advanced simulations and an approach based on physical modeling, we can guarantee our customers reliable, high-performance systems.
